2024 was an encouraging year of growth for MDE even as we planned for still more growth. In our April newsletter, we shared our vision for the second decade of Business and Mission and introduced our notion of MDE 2.0: The global good-news-gap is growing and global business is now the unreached world’s lingua franca. The faithful stewardship of MDE demands our diligence in planning and preparing for the next 10 years.
In September, we shared with you the launch of our search for the next MDE CEO (while Mark Canada maintains his roles as Chairman of the Board and ongoing legal advisor to our members). As we start 2025, we’re so pleased to announce that MDE has identified our next CEO. Herbert Severin will be joining our organization as of February 1st and will focus on our strategic growth initiatives for the next decade.
Herbert has earned a BA degree from Central Bible College and his MBA from LeTourneau University. He has a rich and diverse career background, which includes church ministry and business leadership in start-ups and rapid growth ventures. He is a certified Entrepreneurial Operating System Integrator. EOS is a business framework designed to help start-up and growing businesses achieve their vision by implementing simple and practical tools. EOS aligns well with the services MDE provides our BAM entrepreneurs. View Herbert’s LinkedIn profile.
Herbert’s passion for Business And Mission is what led him to us. He actually connected with us initially and became a volunteer BAM Team Manager back in May of 2024. He now serves an MDE member in Kyrgyzstan. We look forward to having Herbert with us on March 8, 2025 at the Gathering in Indianapolis. We hope you’ll consider attending!
Please join us in welcoming all the Severins to our MDE family!
“I am honored by the selection of the MDE board to lead the growth of the great mission of this organization. As we pray and work together, I’m excited to see the Lord create a new level of results among the sheep in least reached areas who are found at work.”
Herbert Severin, MBA
