Vision
To see thousands of believers taking the presence and the message of Jesus Christ in and through the unreached marketplaces of the world.
Mission
To empower and encourage believers to make money and make disciples in those marketplaces.
What makes MDE distinct?
MDE provides structured, ongoing support to believers who are already stepping into business and professional work in spiritually dark marketplaces—helping them build sustainable work and remain engaged over time.
MDE does not place or employ people into roles. MDE client/members are sent by a community of Christ-followers who affirm them in the pathway they’ve chosen–sometimes this body is a local church, or an agency focused on some aspect of living out the Great Commission.
MDE does provide some support services that some sending bodies also provide, but our role is not one of sending.
MDE’s support services include the kinds of relationships–with coaches and mentors, for example–that do contribute to the development of our members, but our work is not as a training organization.
MDE exists to support believers involved in business AND mission–in making money AND making disciples.
We believe meaningful work and intentional disciple-making belong together. Healthy businesses and faithful professionals create opportunities for long-term presence, authentic relationships, and gospel influence. We help our members pursue both with wisdom and excellence.
It’s not either/or. It’s both/and.
MDE doesn’t offer a fixed program or curriculum. Because our members are known through ongoing relationships with coaches, mentors, staff, and advisors, support can be personalized and provided when it’s needed most. Some members need regular encouragement. Others need specialized expertise for a particular opportunity or challenge. Our model is built to do both.
How does MDE work?
Rather than relying on programs or one-size-fits-all solutions, MDE surrounds each member with the relationships, encouragement, and expertise they need as opportunities and challenges arise. Staff support volunteers. Volunteers support members. Members cultivate authentic relationships through their everyday work—relationships that become the context for disciple-making.
