Our Team

Mark believes that God has brought all of his work, ministry, travel, and life experiences to bear in his position as CEO of MDE. He delights in servicing and resourcing MDE’s members, especially solving the complex problems that come their way. And he looks forward to seeing how God will continue to fulfill the vision and mission of MDE. He and his wife, Charlene, have two children and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys reading, walking/running/biking on the trail, and gardening.

In Bill’s diverse professional career, he’s started and operated three administrative and software businesses, was a partner at Ernst & Young, and served as the Executive Pastor of a large church. In addition, he’s led short-term mission trips and facilitated missions work through his church. Bill’s passion is to build a sustainable and scalable operational environment that supports the great people, mission and growth of MDE without getting in the way. Bill and his wife, Terri, have five grandchildren.  He’s an avid runner, biker and boater and an Elder in his local church.

Jim helps MDE entrepreneurs develop solid BAM ventures. With 30 years of experience operating his own successful gymnastics business and 20+ years in commercial and residential investments, Jim now gives his time to MDE because he believes in our strategy for partnering with “BAM-ers” to reach those without Christ. He is married to Jill and has 2 grown daughters, rides motorcycles, and is a 5th degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu karate.

Marcus has been launching businesses since before he finished university. He has served overseas in Africa helping support community programs, BAM ventures and entrepreneurs. Marcus has been engaged in missions activity for 10+ years and met his wife, Sarah, while they were both volunteering for a BAM venture. They have three children and love going on adventures with them.

Michelle’s career brought her to Central Asia where she worked in education, leadership training, nonprofit administration and project management for fourteen years. She has a passion to help the disenfranchised by giving them tools for personal development – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. At MDE she coordinates the service of volunteer mentors, having personally experienced how important a mentor can be for a business manager working cross-culturally. Michelle enjoys nature hikes, traveling, learning new skills, mentoring, and assisting those in need.

Charlene loves to help others and administration is a natural fit. She enjoys making contributions to help MDE move forward and caring for the women that MDE serves. She likes spending time with her family, all things chocolate, and delightful dining experiences.
