OUR BOARD MEMBERS
Ron is the Executive Director of Shepherd’s Staff Mission Facilitators, having served in this role since 2005. Prior to his move into full-time ministry with Shepherd’s Staff, Ron’s professional career was centered within the U.S. defense industry where he co-founded a small consulting corporation to support U.S. Navy shipbuilding, maintenance and modernization programs. Ron is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and currently resides in Albuquerque, NM with his wife Kathi, four adult children and seven grandchildren.
Kent R. Ford
Kent Ford is a pioneering international development professional with over 25 years of experience in successfully leading and delivering a range of private sector-focused programs in emerging and developing markets. He has broad and proven strategic management and leadership experience as well as economic, political and cultural understanding from having worked in nearly 60 countries. Mr. Ford is a two-time entrepreneur, most recently as co-founder and Managing Director of Global Development Solutions, where he directed the establishment, growth and leadership of a global network of staff and consultants spanning four continents.
Ruth D. Hubbard
Ruth serves as the Urbana Vice President for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship—the first woman to serve in this role. Under the influence of Urbana 2000, Ruth stepped out of her role as a high school teacher and into missions. She started as a graphic designer with Wycliffe Bible Translators and eventually served as their Director of Integrated Marketing and VP of Communications before becoming a Senior VP in 2006 and then Chief Brand Officer in 2012. Ruth is a gifted designer, an established doodler, and an avid rock collector.
Warren J. Janzen
Warren is the International Director of SEND, International, a position he accepted in 2004 after spending 16 years serving in Japan. More recently he helped form Missio Nexus, a network representative of 35,000 evangelical missionaries deployed in every country by more than 190 agencies and churches in North America. He and his wife, Dorothy, love developing new ideas for meeting people and journeying together to Jesus. They also enjoy sports and currently reside in Abbotsford, BC.
Alan D. MacDonald
“Spanning the globe” is a fair description of the career of Alan MacDonald. Having spent 32 years with Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) in several positions from Mexico, the Philippines, and China to international relations in the United State plus 10 years as the Pastor of Global Engagement of a DC-area church, Alan now serves as the Eurasia Partnership Facilitator for WBT--regularly visiting those partners on site. Alan speaks fluent Chinese and Tagalog, is a networker extraordinaire, and has always been interested in the cultures of the world. He lives in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife, Doris, where they both like to root for the Nationals.
Ali Martin resides in Rochester, MN, where she works as the Brand Manager for Hormel Foods International department. After graduating college, she was hired by Hormel Foods in a Foodservice Sales role, moving to Boston. In 2017, she was promoted and took a role in Des Moines. Through trials, she turned a troubled territory around, developed key relationships, and exceeded plan, before making a career change and entering her current position in 2019. Ali is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Agricultural Business and a concentration in Food Marketing. She loves rock climbing, traveling, and setting an annual reading goal.
