Our Board Members

Warren J. Janzen

Warren is the International Director of SEND, International, a position he accepted in 2004 after spending 16 years serving in Japan. More recently he helped form Missio Nexus, a network representative of 35,000 evangelical missionaries deployed in every country by more than 190 agencies and churches in North America. He and his wife, Dorothy, love developing new ideas for meeting people and journeying together to Jesus. They also enjoy sports and currently reside in Abbotsford, BC.

Ruth D. Hubbard

Ruth serves as the Urbana Vice President for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship—the first woman to serve in this role. Under the influence of Urbana 2000, Ruth stepped out of her role as a high school teacher and into missions. She started as a graphic designer with Wycliffe Bible Translators and eventually served as their Director of Integrated Marketing and VP of Communications before becoming a Senior VP in 2006 and then Chief Brand Officer in 2012. Ruth is a gifted designer, an established doodler, and an avid rock collector.

Alan B. MacDonald

These days you will find Alan at Fairfax Community Church in Virginia as the Pastor of Global Engagement. Previously he served for 11 years as the Director of International Relations for SIL, a sister organization of Wycliffe Bible Translators. Prior to that he and his family lived in Hong Kong as a part of their SIL assignment. Alan is a big Nationals fan and has managed to infect his wife, Doris, with the same “disease.”

Dayton H. Molendorp

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, including serving as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of OneAmerica, Dayton brings a lot of business expertise to the table for MDE. He is and has been active in many financial organizations and serves as a director of numerous non-profit organizations. He has lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for most of his career along with his wife, Trudy, and they are involved members of College Park Church.

P. Douglas Wilson

Doug is a principal of Monon Capital, a private multi-disciplinary investment, thought, and conversation studio that engages with partners around ideas and opportunities for innovation. Previously he has served as an executive officer of Hillenbrand, Inc., Guidant Corporation, Ronald Blue & Co., and Eli Lilly and Company. His varied resume’ and extensive connections offer some valuable perspectives to Marketplace & Development Enterprises. He enjoys art, literature, and time with his family.
